A retreat is time dedicated to feeding the deepest parts of who God created you to be.
What to expect
When you arrive at Cedar Crest Lodge, get settled in your cozy room, meet new friends, and take a walk if you like. We'll meet together for an evening meal. Afterward, we'll share a devotion and a relaxing yoga session.
On Saturday morning, start the day with sunrise yoga if that's your thing or sleep in. Breakfast will follow.
Join us for morning sessions to discuss spiritual disciplines and experience Christian meditation. Receive spiritual direction and discover ways to deepen your relationship with God.
After lunch in the sunroom, the afternoon holds free time to take a walk, reconvene with friends, or get a massage at the onsite spa.
We'll gather for dinner and share what we've discovered during our time at the retreat. Enjoy an evening restorative yoga session, then we'll get the campfire going!
Sunday morning enjoy a worship yoga session and breakfast. Savor your last few moments in nature, prayer, or with friends and carry the retreat home with you.

Dates: The retreat begins at 4 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018, and ends at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 28.
Location: Cedar Crest Lodge is our beautiful retreat space. It was ranked in BedandBreakfast.com's Top 25 of 2017. Cedar Crest is just a little over an hour south of the Kansas City metro, in Pleasanton, Kansas, just off US-69. The lodge sits on a hill overlooking the surrounding the tranquil countryside. A haven for nature lovers, there are meandering trails through the forest, shade gardens, reflective ponds, and peaceful meadows. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub or indulge in a relaxing massage at the onsite spa.
Accommodation: Rooms are in the main lodge and shared between 2-3 people. Most rooms have a queen and twin bed. Each bathroom is shared between 2 rooms. All linens and towels are provided. The lodge has two living rooms, a sun room, patio, and porch with rocking chairs. Single rooms are available at an extra charge, but availability is limited. Please contact Destiny at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss this option.
Five locally-sourced meals and a few snacks are included in the retreat cost. Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please notify us at the time of registration.
Cost: The cost for the retreat is $335 which includes, accommodation, dinner Friday night, breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday, breakfast and a snack Sunday. A deposit of $150 is due upon registration. The remainder is due by August 25, 2018. Please note when you register via Eventbrite, a complete registration form regarding room preferences and dietary concerns will be emailed to you within the week.
Cancellation Policy: Deposits and payments are non-refundable. If you must cancel, you may gift what you have paid to a friend you specify. Otherwise, the retreat leaders will use the funds as a scholarship for another attendee.
Destiny Hurst owns Haven Yoga in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She is a Master Holy Yoga Certified Teacher and is trained in Touch Therapies. Her passion is to encourage others to see their potential and beauty. She loves empowering others in their healing journeys and teaching and connecting in community. Destiny and her husband moved from their home state Nebraska in 2008 to Missouri along with their 2 daughters 15, and 10.
Christine Savage leads Holy Yoga KC. She is a 225 R-HYI certified Holy Yoga instructor with specialties in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Touch Therapies. She hails from Platte City, Missouri, and describes herself as a girl who has been forgiven much, loves much, and gets great joy from sharing the unconditional love of God with others. "After battling an autoimmune disease that rocked my world, years of abusing my body, battling with body image issues, and thinking I had to prove my worth and value through being good enough, I have found beautiful freedom freedom to be who God created me to be."
Christina Hubbard is an internationally published writer, speaker, and retreat leader in Olathe, KS. She's a 225 R-YHI certified Holy Yoga instructor with a specialty in Touch Therapies. She loves encouraging influencers to live with courage, compassion, and creativity in their daily lives. As a recovering overachiever, she's passionate about helping others rest in God's love. She lives in Olathe, Kansas, with her husband and two kids.
Jennie Alstadt loves to create a grace-filled window of time for someone to notice God's voice and activity in a way that ordinary life doesn't often allow us the chance to do. Her passion is to walk with other Christians as they experience God in fresh ways and are drawn into greater intimacy with Him. She received her Spiritual Director training through Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction and is also a Holy Yoga instructor with additional training in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. Jennie makes her home in Fairway, Kansas with her oh-so-gracious husband, Tim, and her sweet dog, Mocha.
