Let Me Tell You About My Pool OverFlowing: A Metaphor for Curating Capacity

My nearly overflowing pool holds a dire warning: plan for the overflow.

 On a regular basis, my capacity runs full to the brim with commitments, projects, and life. I can go from one day to the next without realizing the hose that fills me up with rest and inspiration is indeed unhooked.

How's your abundance taste-ability?

I push back a green leaf to pluck a black-fruited jewel. Another---this one the size of a giant's thumb! Five. Ten. Fifteen. Row after row. Yesterday, the berries were small, red, and unripe. Today they have transformed into plump Natchez blackberries, enough to eat by the handful and still have enough for our family and friends to each adorn a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream.
